The following functions correspond to the Technical Cabinet (R.D. 1403/2007, Chap. IV, art. 17.9):
Activities and advisory work and immediate assistance:
Operational programming, monitoring and analysis to improve the quality of aid.
Communication, awareness-raising and education for development.
The Planning, Effectiveness and Quality Unit is part of the Technical Office.
Victoria Tur Gómez, Director of the Technical Cabinet
Victoria Tur Gómez was born in Tarragona, Spain, in 1981. She holds a Law Degree and a Posgraduate in International Studies. She entered the Spanish Diplomatic Career in 2007.
She has since then been posted abroad as Deputy Head of Mission at the Spanish Embassies in Harare (Zimbabwe) and Kingston (Jamaica). She was also posted as Counselor in Berlin (Germany). In Madrid, she was Assistant Deputy Director for Subsaharan Africa at the MFA.
Within the AECID, before being appointed Chief of Cabinet, she was Head of the Department for Cooperation with the Arab World and Asia.
