The Spanish International Cooperation and Development Agency (AECID) assigned to the Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Ministry, anounces, together with the Education and Professional Training Ministry, the X Edition of the Education for Development National Award “Vicente Ferrer”, addressed to Academic Centers, substained with public funds in all their levels: Infant, Primary, Secondary Compusory Education, Higers Studies, Vocational Training and Adults Academic Education.
What is the AIM of the Award?
The main goal of this Prize is to
award educational experiences, projects or pedagogical proposals, carried on
during the School Year 2017-2018, dedicated to raise awareness,
develop critical thinking and encourage the students to take active part in a
Global and supportive Citizenship, commited with the erradication of powerty and
its causes and with human and sustainable development.
Content of the prize
Fifteen educative experiences,shared out between the different Academic Levels, will be rewarded. Maximum of two teachers in charge of each prizewinning educative Project, will travel to Dominican Republic to take part in the Training and Exchange in Good Teaching Practices in Education for Development Seminar, that takes part under the patronage of the AECID.The Seminar will celebrate from the 24th of November to the 1st of December 2018 and will have an amount of 40 hours, that will be recognised as training credits by the Education and Professional Training Ministry.
